Complete in Christ

Enemy to friend.

Sinful to holy.

Guilty to blameless.

Unsatisfied to complete.

Death to life.

Indebted to debt-free.

We were seen as hostile enemies of God, but through Christ, we are made friends.
We were sinful beings, but through Christ, we are set apart and holy.
We were guilty of sin, but through Christ, we are made blameless and without fault.
We were dissatisfied like we needed something more, but through Christ, we are filled, whole, with purpose, and complete.
We were dead inside, but through Christ, we are fully alive.
We were indebted to God for our sin, but through Christ, we are free.

This is who we are.

“Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior, but now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death…in him you have been made complete… you were dead in your sins, God made you alive with Christ… He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” Colossians 1:21&22, 2:10, 13&14 (NASB & NIV)
